Bamboo Flooring

The bamboo flooring available from Leeway is made from strips of solid bamboo. There is no MDF core and no veneer - just small strips of bambo laminated together, either horizontally or vertically, to form solid tongue and grooved planks.

Bamboo flooring has some amazing qualities.

As well as looking extremely attractive it can withstand high humidity, and is resistant to moisture making it very suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms. It requires less maintenance than conventional hardwood flooring, and is very resistant to damage and scuffing.

Although extremely hard, bamboo is not actually wood - it is a type of grass - so the world's limited hardwood forests remain unaffected by its production. Bamboo is fast growing, naturally replenishing source, so unlike other types of flooring it has minimal environmental impact.
